Bali’s New Yachting Hub: A World-Class Marina Comes to Indonesia

New Bali Superyacht Marina
New International Marina in Bali, Indonesia

Bali, the “Island of the Gods,” is poised to make waves in the international yachting scene. The long-awaited development of Indonesia’s first international-standard, full-service yacht marina is finally underway.

Located in the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH) in Benoa, the marina is a joint venture between PT Marina Development Indonesia (MDI) and Pelindo. This state-of-the-art facility will accommodate 180 wet berths, including spaces for over 50 superyachts up to 90 meters in length.

A Booming Yachting Destination

Indonesia’s strategic location, outside of hurricane and typhoon paths, combined with its stunning archipelago and diverse cultures, has long made it an attractive destination for yacht owners. The new marina in Bali will further solidify Indonesia’s position as a yachting paradise.

World-Class Facilities and Services

The marina will offer a comprehensive range of facilities and services, including:

  • Modern yacht service area with a 200-ton travel lift and high-quality fueling station.
  • State-of-the-art infrastructure with electricity and water pedestals featuring a SmartCloud remote metering system.
  • Bespoke services from Discover Luxury Indonesia, including logistical support and on/off-boat experiences.
  • Yacht club, luxury hospitality options, entertainment areas, retail and dining outlets.

Economic Impact and Tourism Growth

The development of the Bali Marina is expected to have a significant economic impact on Indonesia. By attracting international and domestic yacht owners, the marina will contribute to the growth of tourism and related industries.

Construction Progress and Anticipation

Construction is well underway, with the marina scheduled to open its first dock in July 2025 and reach full capacity by mid-2026. The anticipation is high among yacht owners and enthusiasts who are eager to explore the beauty of Indonesia from the comfort of their own vessels.
